Updated Thursday, March 26, 2020
Dear HDSC Members,
Soccer Nova Scotia has issued an update on the impact to the Summer 2020 season by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please click here to read the update.
Soccer Nova Scotia has suspended all soccer operations until further notice, effective March 13, 2020, in response to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The BMO Soccer Centre will be closed to the public until further notice. They have advised that all Districts, Clubs and Leagues are to cease operations until further notice. To ensure the health and safety of our players, parents, volunteers, technical staff, and admin staff, the HDSC office will be closed until April 6, 2020. We will reassess the situation before that date and issue an update.
Registration for the 2020 Summer Season is open, and online registration will still be available to our members. In-person registration at our office is suspended until further notice. We continue to plan for our summer season, and are in contact with Soccer Nova Scotia, the leagues, and our facility providers to ensure that we are ready to launch as soon as we are given the green light. Our members can rest assured that full refunds will be provided in the event that programs are cancelled due to any impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. With the leadership of Soccer Nova Scotia, we are also exploring all of the options for the possibility of a condensed season, and adjusted registration fees. The club administrator will still be available to answer questions by email.
Please use firstname.lastname@example.org for all queries.
We remain committed to the safety of our members, volunteers and staff and hope to be able to return to full operations soon.
Covid-19 presents a rapidly evolving situation for health professionals and sports organizations across the province. Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club is continuing to monitor the situation, and will keep the health and safety of our members our top priority. We will communicate any updates as they become available. Please follow the precautionary measures established by the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
